ANNA CAMPAGNA

I moved to Portland a decade ago from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I trained at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia with famous European typographers and poster designers. My first job out of school landed me in Los Angeles, where I designed movie posters, logos and advertisements for the major motion picture and television studios. My design, driven by this experience, is simple, often conceptual and extremely typographical.

After 4 years in LA I couldn’t stand to breathe the foul air or suffer the vacuous party conversations any longer, so I did what all disenchanted Angelinos were doing in 1990 – I moved to Seattle. Somehow during my short stint in Seattle, I became captivated by food and moved to Santa Fe to open an Italian cafe, which was written up in its first year in Birnbaum’s Guide and Forbes FYI. After two years of all-consuming cafe life, I found a dream-buyer, sold the place, and went skiing all winter, acoss the west. In the spring I returned to Santa Fe and created a collaborative design studio which specialized in identity, advertising, exhibition catalogs and fine art books. Several of my logos and posters were selected for publication in Print Magazine’s Regional Design Annual, and in 2001 I was quoted in the book’s introduction.

Although I may appear to be a one-woman shop, I work with a select team of marketing strategists, writers and photographers. We are excited to meet with clients, both big and small, who are in need of integrated branding and marketing strategies across the print and digital mediums.
